I placed a service call to Americool this past weekend after I was quoted what I felt to be an unreasonable service charge rate and Freon charge/lb. from another very large and very well know A/C company who claims to be extremely “Reliable”, and who by the way I am under contract with to service the very unit that was on the blink (and that they ‘d serviced 3 months ago).

I placed the call Saturday afternoon when my upstairs unit began blowing hot air and Johnny immediately called me back. Another Alpharetta based A/C repair company called as well however the representative spent most of his time on the call trying to convince me (without knowing what the problem was) that I needed a new unit based upon the age. Johnny however, stopped by later in the day on Saturday. He quickly diagnosed the problem and told me that the repair would require more time and that he could be here first thing Monday morning. He assured me that the problem was somewhat minor and that he could get my unit working quickly Monday morning.

Johnny showed up at the time committed and quickly had my unit blowing cold air within the hour. It was actually cooling better than it has in quite some time (the temperature gauge showed that it was measuring 55 degrees which it had not done in years). Johnny is an expert at A/C repair, extremely personable and professional and more importantly, he is extremely trustworthy which is a rare quality amongst service repairmen these days.

I am sorry I did not find him sooner; I could have saved significant time, money and aggravation from others who performed sub-par work and ripped me off over the years.

I rarely write reviews as I am typically underwhelmed however, I felt the need to do so this time. You can definitely trust his 5 star reviews as I would gladly rate him a 10 if I could do so
