When I first read the reviews and saw it was a full five stars, I was a little skeptical. Not many service businesses get this rating, let alone given the type of work this business does. We went with Americool yesterday to get our A/C working again. Here is my experience: When I called the first time, it went to voicemail and I had another call come in at the same time. Unable to leave a voicemail, I hung up to take the other call. Amazingly, I received a call back from Johnny saying he had a missed call from me. That’s impressive these days. I told him what was going on. There was a communication error between my landlord and the other repair service that was supposed to have already been at my house. We were already over 24 hours without A/C and inside temperatures at 90 degrees and about 57% humidity. He certainly sympathized and said he would be over within a few hours. He was at our house in an hour, diagnosed the problem and had us running again within less than 2 hours. The best part is that he identified that our furnas had seriously-unsafe damage and turned off our pilot light. It was while he was providing free advice on installing a programmable thermostat and showing me where the furnas shutoff when he noticed the damage. He didn’t have time to look at it then, but told us to have it fixed before using furnas in the Winter. Very professional, friendly and interpersonal. He truly lived up to the five-star reviews previously posted. I am actually thankful there was a miscommunication that led to us going with Americool. I highly-recommend them if Johnny is the technician!
